14th March part five

Well there it was; in all its glory, the thing that had drawn Mark and I along Camden high street. I bet your thinking, “The Lock” right?

Almost….. But wrong…..

It was the aroma of ‘The Bean’ Coffee was finally calling.

And what better way to enjoy it than with new friends.

And once again what wonderful characters they were. This is why I love photographing the streets; for me it’s not just about capturing the landscapes or architecture, as captivating as it is, it’s about them. They bring the streets to life and I have the privilege of holding that moment for prosperity through my images. As I said in my opening page; it’s the characters, they make the streets for me.

After I took this shot, I looked across the road and something piqued my interest. Punks? Well the trend was punk back in the 80’s as I was growing up it could be something totally different now.

I totally believe in the saying ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover.’ Because it is so true, like the characters I’ve introduced to you thus far (and there will be more to come.)

I don’t know of their background; maybe they had a tough upbringing or the lifestyle is of their own choice, it matters not to me. All I know is they are approachable, friendly and willing to allow me to enter a moment of their life and record it.

Part six coming soon……
